ABOUT US

About

Single Season Farming is a local, sustainable farm founded in 2021 by Michael Monahan. Michael is an Executive Chef who found it frustratingly difficult to source fresh and nutritious produce. In this country, produce is rarely local. Rather, it is harvested early before it has had time to ripen. This allows the produce to remain firm so it will travel across the country with less bruising and rot. This premature produce is often gassed with nitrogen to artificially induce ripening. This process works great for the transportation of produce, but delivers a product weak in flavor, color, texture

and most importantly nutrition!

Single Season Farming uses a unique technique to grow micro greens. Indoor, vertical strictly controlling light, humidity, temperature and air circulation provides optimal environmental conditions. This creates a “Single Season” for growing consistent plants all year round. An additional benefit of this method is the reduction of water consumption and energy usage, making Single Season Farming a sustainable,  environmentally responsible company.

Single Season Farming is serious about providing our community with the freshest, most nutritious products possible.  Despite their small size, micro greens pack a nutritional punch and provide up to 40 times the nutrient levels, vitamins and antioxidants than their mature counterparts. This makes Single Season Farming's micro greens a must have

 for all diets!

MICRO GREENS ARE NOT JUST A GARNISH ANYMORE!!
